My Experience

I have over 15 years of experience teaching and tutoring Maths and Science to secondary school students.

My background includes both classroom teaching and private one to one tutoring, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

Over the years I have worked with many students who initially felt stuck or lacked confidence in these subjects. By focusing on clear explanations and structured practice, students are able to gradually rebuild their understanding and approach the subject with much greater confidence.

I am very familiar with the GCSE curriculum and regularly support students studying the main exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR.

Alongside my teaching experience, I have spent many years working as a private tutor helping students strengthen the core skills needed for success in Maths and Science.

Much of my work focuses on:

building strong foundations at Key Stage 3
supporting GCSE preparation
helping students improve confidence and exam technique

Lessons are adapted to each student’s pace and learning style so that progress feels manageable and consistent.

My Qualifications

PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

A Levels in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

My Availability

I offer online tutoring sessions during weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as some availability at weekends.

Typical lesson times are between 4:00 pm and 8:30 pm on weekdays, which works well for students after school. I also occasionally have weekend availability depending on the week.

Because my timetable can change slightly from week to week, the best approach is to send a message with your preferred day and time and I will do my best to accommodate it.

All lessons are delivered online.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £35.00 per hour

My standard tutoring fee is typically between £35 and £40 per hour depending on the level and the specific support required.

Most lessons are one hour long and are delivered online using interactive tools that work very well for Maths and Science tutoring.

Sessions are tailored to the individual student and usually involve reviewing key topics, working through practice questions, and building confidence with problem solving.
