My Experience

I have years of experience working with children with ADHD, ASD, challenging behaviour and much more. I have worked with children that are non-verbal, and therefore have a basic level of Makaton and I am confident in finding alternate methods of communication. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, especially those with SEND. I am a very understanding, calm and patient individual and I feel that these qualities are especially valuable when supporting and building professional relationships with those with SEND.

I understand that change can be difficult for children, especially those with SEND, which is why I am happy to commit to a long-term childcare position if this is what you are looking for.

I am fully DBS checked and hold a full 12 hour Paediatric First Aid qualification. I also hold a full drivers license and have my own car - I am happy to travel! I know the local area well and I am happy to take children out and about if this is something you/they'd be interested in. I also spend a lot of time in Central London, so would also be happy to head there for a day out on the train.

My Qualifications

I am a qualified ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant). I have completed a course in Paediatric First Aid and First Aid at Work and I have completed a Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Supporting Learning - as well as various other courses in Child Safeguarding, Child Protection, PREVENT, Autism, EBSA and more.

I am educated up to A Level standard - with A Levels in Psychology (A), Spanish (B), Biology (C) and Maths AS (C). I also have 12 GCSES, including A*s in Maths and Spanish. I am more than happy to provide homework help - or even provide some basic Spanish language teaching if this is something you would be interested in your child learning.
