About Me
We’re looking for a short-term nanny to join our family when both mum and dad travel (usually 1 week at a time). You’re welcome to come a bit earlier, e.g a day or a week before, to settle in and get to know us. While we’re away, you’ll be hanging out with our fun-loving 14- and 11-year-olds—keeping them company, helping with routines, and enjoying some laughs along the way.
We are looking for someone to join us for 1-2 weeks in October. And if you are interested, again in December.
We’re a fun and loving family based just outside Knutsford. Dad is Nigerian, and Mum (Ruth) is British. Our daughter T, 14, is an outgoing teen who loves beauty, fashion, graphic design, and long chats with her girlfriends. Our son D, 11, is full of energy—into superheroes, anime, coding, lego and his favourite TV shows.
We have had nannies in the past, and always enjoy having a new honorary member of the family.
We live in Mere, in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, just 3 miles from the trendy town of Knutsford and 13 miles from the City of Manchester. Our home is a spacious 4-bedroom house, and you’ll have your own private ensuite room. We can also add you to the car insurance so you can use our car (or bike if you prefer).
My Requirements
Our weekdays are pretty easy-going! The kids wake themselves up around 6:45 (just a quick check to be sure!) and head off for the school bus at 7:30. T is super independent, while D sometimes needs a cheerful reminder to grab his bag and get moving.
They’re back by 5, when it’s time for homework, packing bags for the next day, and then chilling out until bedtime around 8:30/9. T may ask you to be her “homework proof-reader,” and D just needs a bit of encouragement to stay on task.
In the evenings, you’ll whip up something simple for dinner. Pasta is always a hit, and we love a relaxed pizza night on the weekends.
If you enjoy easy routines, fun conversations, and the occasional Uno rematch, you’ll fit right in! You are welcome to spend the daytime 8am-5pm doing other things.
