About Me

Hi my name is Elysia and I live in Castleford with my partner and our daughter. I have 13 years experience of working with children from birth-11 years. I have worked in many settings including: private day nurseries, mainstream and private primary schools.

I started my career in childcare back in 2013 as an Early years educator moving onto working as a teaching assistant in schools. I do also have experience in providing support to children with special educational needs. For the last 2 years of working in schools I have worked on a 1:1 basis and also have my own first hand experience of Autism as my daughter has a diagnosis of ASD.

Having worked in both nurseries and schools has shown me just how passionate I am in being able to support the learning and development of children and the satisfaction it gives me to see children thrive.

I pride myself on being able to deliver excellent service and hold a professional manner balanced with having a nurturing and gentle nature.

Having made the decision to leave the sector earlier this year I am looking to offer babysitting care on evenings.

I am DBS checked and am looking to complete my paediatric first aid.
