Hello!
My name is Abi and I am 28 years old. I have just returned home from travelling and am now looking for my next role.
I have over 10 years experience in childcare (my first role being a mother’s helper when I was 16).
I have been doing adhoc babysitting since I was 16 and have done over 4 years of nannying (over 2 different roles) in this time.
My most recent role was working in a Children’s home for young people and children with Special Needs. During my time at this role, I got a Level 3 diploma in residential childcare and got a lot of training and experience in different physical/mental disabilities.
My Experience
I have been doing adhoc babysitting for over 10 years and have a diploma in Residential Childcare. I also have 4 years experience of being a nanny and I worked in a Children’s home for a year and a half before I went travelling. During my time in the children’s home I got experience in working with SEN children and young people. I also got a lot of training in dealing with trauma in children (due to their backgrounds).
I have a full, clean driving licence, an up to date DBS & a Paediatric first aid certificate.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. I am starting a part time online university course in October where I will be working towards a degree in Childhood and Youth studies.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday both for part time and full time roles. I am also available for babysitting in the evenings and on weekends.
