About Me
Hi, I’m Tierney, a 25-year-old qualified primary and SEN teacher with a degree in Childhood Studies and a QTS. I have experience working with children and young people with additional needs since I was 17. I have worked in schools (Mainstream and SEN), tutoring and support settings, including SEN environments, and I genuinely love helping children grow in confidence and feel supported in their learning and development.
I am DBS checked and offer a calm, patient and caring approach. I understand that every child is different and always try to create a safe, positive and engaging environment where children feel comfortable and happy.
My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children of different ages and abilities, including children with SEN and additional needs. I started tutoring GCSE and early years learners at 18 and later completed my Childhood Studies degree before qualifying as a primary and SEN teacher.
I have experience supporting children with communication, confidence, learning through play, literacy and emotional support, as well as working alongside families to meet individual needs. I have also worked in school and support settings where I developed a calm, flexible and understanding approach.

My Availability
Qualified Primary & SEN Teacher offering daytime childcare, educational support, tutoring, play-based learning, and home education assistance in a safe home-based setting. Experienced working with children with SEN, including non-speaking children and children with PMLD/additional needs. Care is provided from my home, with parent drop-off and collection. I enjoy planning engaging activities, sensory play, outdoor play, walks, and park visits tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests. Parents are welcome to provide favourite toys, comfort items, snacks, or anything that helps their child feel settled and happy.

- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
