About Me

We are Zaid and Nour, a family based in Leeds, seeking a Personal Assistant to support our 11-year-old son, Aboud, as part of a Leeds City Council support package.

Aboud is a gentle and easy-going boy on the autism spectrum. He is non-verbal but communicates effectively in his own way. He enjoys active play, outdoor activities, and benefits from a structured, calm, and consistent approach. He is toilet trained, with occasional prompting required, and thrives in a supportive and engaging environment.

We are looking for a reliable, patient, and organised individual who is either experienced in, or has a genuine interest in, working with children with additional needs. The role will involve supporting Aboud in day-to-day activities, encouraging engagement, and maintaining a safe and positive routine.

Key details:

* Pay: £10.00 – £12.40 per hour (depending on experience and responsibilities)
* Hours:
* 4 hours per week during term time
* 8 hours per week during school holidays
* Flexible working pattern
* Location: Leeds
* Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS check (essential)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)

There is also the potential, if mutually agreed, for the role to be formalised through Leeds City Council, with salary paid via the council’s Personal Assistant scheme.
