About Me
I am a German speaking professional Nanny / teacher and someone who has always been enthusiastic about working with children. I am well- organised, hands-on, active and love exploring the outside world through little ones eyes.
I strongly believe that setting clear boundaries while being loving, patient and dedicated to each child’s individual needs allows them to grow into independent, inquisitive and kind individuals. In the past eleven years I have worked as an aupair, professional nanny and teacher and each job has provided me with amazing opportunities to grow and learn. I have developed strong competences to create a stimulating and encouraging learning atmosphere, allowing children to gain an understanding about the world and explore their interests. In the past year I have deepened my understanding of the parental role as I became a Mummy to my own baby girl.
My Experience
During my 11 years’ working experience within the educational sector, I have developed strong skills in supporting young children and am genuinely eager about providing the best child care and play experiences possible. I am able to handle difficult situations sympathetically but with professionalism and clear guidelines. I have an excellent record of working successfully with families in different settings and different countries.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelors degree in primary school education with my majors being English, Education, German and Arts. For the past 11 years I have worked within the childcare industry,
both in a private household as well as educational setting. I am a trained teacher and have had multiple internships at nurseries and schools all over the world. My main experience with children lies within the ages from newborn up to seven years old.
My Availability
As my maternity leave is coming to an end, I am looking for a new opportunity to share my experience and skill with other parents. As my baby is still young (18m), I am looking for work that allows me to bring her along with me, if it’s during the week. Ideally, I would love to look after a baby with a similar age so they can get to know each other and grow up alongside a little friend! Additionally, I'm also providing ad-hoc work on weekends or evenings, without my little sidekick.
