About Me
My name is Janet, and I work with Jo and we are Rainbows Childminding. I have four grown up sons. I have enjoyed childminding for many years and enjoy meeting all the different families throughout the years and many of whom we are still in contact with and it is a joy to see them growing successfully throughout their school life and beyond. We aim for each child to reach his or her full potential. We provide open ended play which helps with their creativity and imagination which helps to develop their overall wellbeing. We believe in lots of praise and encouragement and having fun along the way by following the individual child's interest and providing stimulating play both inside and outside. I find my occupation extremely rewarding and always look forward to meeting new families.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for over 25 years and worked with a wide range of families and children with different needs and requirements. Throughout my years as a childminder I strive to continually improve my home setting and experience by attending various short courses to keep up to date with changes and current regulations.
My Qualifications
I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I hold a level 3 in Childcare. I am accredited to receive funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. I hold a current first aid, risk assessment, food safety and moving and handling. I have attended various SENCo training, practical inclusion, extending partnerships with parents, planning for emergencies course, ENCO equality training, safeguarding children, six areas of learning, observation, assessment and planning, I can talk!, developing positive behaviour, letters and sounds, play2geather, and CAF training. I have also completed several modules in the Dorset Quality Improvement Scheme.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday 8:00 - 18:00. We currently have places available due to families moving away.
