My Requirements
I am looking for a kind, reliable and flexible childcare provider to support my two children (aged 12 and 9), both of whom are autistic.
This would be on an ad hoc, week-to-week basis rather than set hours, so flexibility and reliability are really important.
The role would involve school pick-ups, occasional drop-offs, and support at home. I am specifically looking for someone who can care for the children in our home on a 1:2 basis, rather than in a setting with other children.
Both children are lovely and bright but need someone who is calm, patient and understanding of additional needs. Experience with autism or SEN would be very important.
A driver is essential.
Most importantly, I am looking for someone who can build a trusting relationship with the children and provide a consistent, calm and supportive presence.
