My Summary

My Experience

I currently teach in a mainstream school. I have nannied for three years which I absolutely loved with a passion, have worked in SEN and mainstream schools and acted as an slt assistant, as well as volunteering to help with slt sessions and running playgroups. I have worked with children with multiple needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, speech delay and more. I was part of a small SEN primary school and acted as a speech and language therapy assistant delivering therapy sessions as instructed either individually or with whole classes. I was an SEN 1:1 where I would support with communication, social and emotional needs as well as supporting academically and helping teachers to create targets and plans accordingly to support the individual. I know Makaton to a certain degree and am constantly learning more. I believe that every child has the right to be understood and have a voice.

As well as my work with children, I also worked with adults who have a diagnosis of autism, communication difficulties, anxiety and learning difficulties. I have been fortunate enough to shadow speech therapists in hospitals who work with adults whose communication difficulties come from a number of different reasons.

My Qualifications

I have a degree in Sociology, first aid trained and enhanced dbs checked.
I have safeguarding training.
Qualified EYFS/ Primary Teacher.

My Availability

I am also available during school holidays.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

Anything after 12pm is charged at £13 per hour
