Ad-Hoc Childcare Wanted For A Bright, Energetic 6-Year-Old. Someone Patient, Engaging, Experienced
About Me
I am solo parent, 46 years old and have one boy who is 6.
I work for a global tech company which can be full on at times and although I mainly work from home I sometimes have to travel to London.
My Requirements
I’m looking for a kind, playful babysitter to help our small family on an ad-hoc basis. This might be for a few hours during the school holidays, the occasional evening, or sometimes after school to help with playtime when I’m working.
I live with my wonderful 6-year-old son Arthur and my mum who is 72. My mum is a huge help but she doesn’t drive and can’t always keep up with the energetic play that Arthur loves, so having another trusted adult around sometimes would make a big difference.
Arthur is a bright, funny and curious little boy who loves music, games, building things, problem solving and being outdoors. He also has ADHD and a PDA profile, which means he can be impulsive and sometimes needs a calm, patient adult who can guide play and help him feel safe and understood.
He has a strong attachment to me, so I’m really hoping to find someone who can build a trusting relationship with him over time and become another safe adult in his world when work gets busy.
Holiday clubs haven’t been a great fit for him, so having someone who could play with him at home, take him to the park, or go on little outings would make the school holidays much more enjoyable for him.
We’re looking for someone who is kind, calm, playful and reliable, and ideally someone who enjoys working with children who think a little differently.
