Part Time Nanny

We're looking for an engaging, reliable after school nanny for our soon to be 7-year-old son, Francis. This is a part-time role, 15 hours per week (3:30pm to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday), starting early September 2026.

About Francis

Francis is a kind, outgoing boy with a cheerful disposition that charms everyone he meets. He loves singing, football, chess, Pokémon, bike rides, and diving into a good Roald Dahl story. When not playing Super Mario on his dad's vintage SNES (in moderation!), you'll often find him in the garden, exploring with his beloved cat Tilda. Francis is a curious, capable child who thrives with a structured, calm approach to homework and playtime.

Responsibilities

* Picking Francis up from St Paul's Cathedral School in the City at 3:30pm
* Traveling with him to our home in Wanstead, East London (Central line, around 20 minutes)
* Preparing a healthy dinner
* Assisting with homework and reading
* Engaging in creative, screen-free playtime
* Light tidying related to Francis's dinner and activities

The Ideal Candidate

* Experienced with primary school aged children
* Confident and capable navigating London transport with a child
* Fluent English speaker, excellent communicator with a warm and engaging manner
* Reliable and professional with a proactive attitude
* Energetic and imaginative, able to bring structure and fun in equal measure
* Calm, patient demeanor

About Us

We're a friendly professional couple who value open communication and initiative. Post-homework, Francis will need active play and conversation more than additional tutoring. We have a cat named Tilda. While we both work full-time, we're supportive employers who appreciate the important role a nanny plays in a child's life.

Practicalities

* 15 hours per week during term time (Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-6:30pm)
* Regular additional hours available during school holidays
* Position is year-round
* Based within commutable distance of both St Paul's and Wanstead
* DBS check essential
* Competitive pay based on experience
* Start date: early September 2026

If you're energetic, responsible, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping a wonderful young boy navigate his afternoons, we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch telling us a bit about yourself and why you'd be a great fit for our family.
