Feel let down/disappointed
Hi, thank you for explaining your side. I completely understand that you’re entitled to speak to and consider other families, and I have no issue with you choosing an opportunity that suited you better.
My disappointment was simply with the communication and timing. From our conversations, I understood that we were progressing towards meeting and discussing childcare for October, so I was relying on this while preparing to return to university and, being postpartum, trying to organise childcare.
If I had known you were still considering other families and that our arrangement was by no means likely to go ahead, I would have continued looking elsewhere. I completely understand that no formal agreement had been made, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to feel let down when you’ve been led to believe things are progressing and are then told at short notice that you’re no longer available.
My review was based on my experience of the communication, not on your right to choose another family.
Take care
