About Me
Welcome to Flamingos Nursery for children aged 3 and over.
My name is Juli and I am a registered childminder with a Montessori approach to education - learning through play. I have a 25 year old son who is a graphic designer and lives in Surrey.
My nursery offers a wonderful warm, home from home environment with lots of fabulous resources to enable children to learn through play. My aim is to help them grow in confidence and resilience and develop many of the skills taught in reception class.
I love nurturing children, helping them feel safe, valued and supported as they grow and develop across all areas of the EYFS framework.
The children will enjoy story and rhyme time, creating art with a variety of media and there will be regular yoga and music sessions. We will visit playgroups weekly to build their social skills.
They will be taken on lots of fun educational trips to Call of the Wild Zoo, Lathcoats Farm, RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Danbury Country Park and Chelmsford Museum, to get the best out of their childhood.
With National Trust woodland at the end of the road, they will spend lots of time in nature in all seasons - exploring textures, listening to birds, spotting squirrels and splashing in puddles! Spending time in nature supports physical development, emotional wellbeing and confidence.
I have low ratios so am able to embrace their uniqueness and support their individual needs and interests. I do not offer school drop offs or collections, so they will have an uninterrupted day.
I focus on emotional well-being and encourage positive behaviour to help children learn about kindness, sharing and empathy.
Joining in the fun is Tiffany, a sweet little Cavalier King Charles, who is an Essex therapy dog and visits a local primary school every week.
My Experience
I have worked with children for over 38 years as a nanny, an English tutor abroad for children aged 3-15, an exam invigilator and a group assistant in scouting.
I have recently been working as a nanny for the past 9 years.
I have babysat for many families over the years too.

My Availability
I am open Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday from 8am - 6pm.
I am available at weekends for special occasions.
My Fees
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour
£90 per day inclusive of outings.

I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Juli as a childcare provider. She was our nanny for five and half years and became an integrated part of our family, providing exceptional care for our daughter with unwavering dedication, warmth and professionalism.
From the outset, Juli demonstrated remarkable punctuality and reliability. Her consistent presence and structured approach brought a reassuring rhythm to our household, especially during unpredictable times. She was deeply caring, attentive to our daughter's emotional and developmental needs, and fostered a nurturing environment that helped her thrive.
What set Juli apart was her sense of responsibility and initiative, whether helping our daughter with her homework, managing her afterschool routines or taking her out on a variety of fun and educational outings during school breaks.
She approached each task with thoughtfulness and care. Her calm demeanour and sound judgement made her a trusted figure not only to our daughter but also to us as parents.

I have known Juli for 13 years as a friend and a babysitter for my 2 daughters.
She is extremely responsible, reliable and trustworthy. She has a kind, loving personality and is always very calm in all circumstances. My daughters looked forward to her coming as they would play games and would do amazing, creative works of art.
She has set her home up to be warm and welcoming with lots of gorgeous resources for the children to learn through play. Any child would be lucky to attend there.
