About Me
My name is Jo and I live with my daughter in the Shephall area of Stevenage. I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I provide quality childcare in a fun, safe, clean and caring home. I have a wide range of appropriate toys, books and activities available for all age groups. I also have a level 4 qualification in Early Years as well as many years experience, both in nursery settings and as a childminder
I offer day care for babies and pre-school aged children as well as wrap-around care and holiday care for nursery/school aged children. We regularly attend baby/toddler stay and play groups and rhyme time as well as visiting local parks and woodland areas.
I provide all meals/snacks and drinks during the day and offer a balanced and nutritious menu.
I am very passionate about offering a homely environment for the children I care for. I believe young children thrive in a home-based setting, where I can give each and every child the care and attention they deserve, in familiar surroundings. I offer continuity and familiarity to both children and families.
We have two friendly chihuahuas. Our children love the animals and learning about how to care for them whilst learning boundaries and staying safe around animals, both as pets within our home and in the wider community. We do have a seperate area for Belle and Teddy, the chihuahuas, ensuring they have a quiet restful space!
I offer funded places on all funding schemes and provide school pick ups from local schools.
My Experience
I have gained over 25 years of professional childcare experience, in a variety of settings as well as childminding from home. This has supported me in developing my vision for my own setting, which is to create a home away from home for your child, whilst parents are at work. The children I care for are welcomed into my family and are well cared for and provided for.
