About Me
Hi! I’m Katriona, I recently moved to Aberdeen (city centre) for work in autumn 2025. I currently work Monday to Friday, 9-5, in a government job within the children and family services. I would love to gain some contacts to help out with evening or weekend babysitting.
A little bit more about me. I have a degree in Criminology and Sociology, and I also qualified as early years practitioner (SVQ3) 6 years ago. Since, I have plenty of both setting and private based experience working with children and young people. Throughout the last 8 years I have worked within a private nursery, following curriculums and care routines. I only left this job to pursue my current “big girl job” and really miss being hands on with the littles already! Additionally, I have spent 3 summers working at a residential camp in the US with children ages 6-16, which I absolutely adored. I also spent 2 winters working for a nanny agency in ski resort in France, with a booking with a new family every week, it was great experience!
In my spare time I enjoy dancing, spin classes, travelling, exploring the outdoors and spending time with my friends and family!

My Experience
Over the last 8 years, I have worked in various childcare settings, as well as nannying privately. I have been a qualified EYP for 6 years and worked across two crèches and a private nursery.
My Qualifications
In June 2020 I completed my childcare qualification - SVQ Level 3 in Social Services with Children and Young People (SCQF 7) - with Azillo Training, after studying to gain it for a year, on top of my university work. This involved practice based learning to gain outcomes on modules such as child protection, child development, health and safety, communication and personal care plans.
I am trained in Paediatric and Baby First Aid (2022) and Safeguarding level 1 (2022).
I also gained a 2:1 degree - BA Honours in Criminology and Sociology at the University of Stirling in June 2022.
My Availability
Evenings or weekends only.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
Between £10-12 depending on number of children and whether they’re sleeping or not!
