About Me

Hello, my name is Maria and I am a childminder in the Lichfield area. I have lived in Lichfield for around 20 years, originally living on Darwin Park before moving to Birmingham Road (a stone’s throw from Kensington Oval or The Bowling Green so you have an idea).
I live with my husband and 2 teenage daughters. We also have a miniature labradoodle called Gracie (very similar to a cockapoo – i.e. a fluffy teddy bear!!) who has just turned 11 years old. She loves children and has been in our family since my girls were 2 and 6 years old so she’s very used to little ones.

My Experience

I have always loved working with children and have volunteered with GirlGuiding for the past 10 years. With my own children I was a ‘stay at home mum’ when they were small and enjoyed providing them with ample opportunities to play and learn. I work from the EYFS guidelines in order to ensure that children are seen as individuals and have their own opportunities to play, develop skills and thrive with me.

My Qualifications

I have a full DBS, as do the over 16s in my home. I have also completed the following courses: paediatric first aid, safeguarding, food allergy awareness and childminder pre-registration training.
