About Me
As an experienced childcare professional I can offer children a safe, secure and caring environment full of stimulating activity's. In my child friendly home I have a designated story/music area, home corner and play room. I also have a garden which is set up for children with a swing/slide, fairy garden and a gardening area.
I have a high level of understanding of the EYFS and therefore am able to offer children a great amount of learning opportunity's.
I am a very creative person who enjoys reading, writing, poetry, opera, ballet, jazz, gardening, culture, art, history and theatre. You can therefore expect that a day within my setting will include a wide variety of different activity's such as arts and crafts, baking, play dough, water play, planting flowers during spring, making mud pies in the garden, building dens, singing along to disney songs, fancy dress, role play, story time and off course jumping in puddles like peppa pig (your child will need a spare set of clothes!)
My Experience
I have over 10 years childcare experience including SEND experience. I have covered a variety of roles within my career such as SENCO within a nursery setting, private foster carer, playworker in Southwark after school clubs, creches, one o clock clubs, after school and weekend nanny, support assistant, LSA, carer and voluntary work abroad in a special needs primary school in Gambia (west Africa).
I have worked alongside professionals such as speech therapists, ABA therapist, occupational therapists and behaviour and educational psychologists. Learning their methods of practice and using it in an everyday setting when caring for a child with special needs.
My Qualifications
NVQ 3 Childcare gained in 2013
Childminder training course gained 2020
First aid paediatric course gained 2020
Other training includes health and safety in the work place, makaton, PECS, ASD, safeguarding, speech and language and food safety in the work place.
My Availability
I offer hours between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday.
I can be flexible with hours if required.
