I began my childcare career at 16 in a private nursery, completing my NVQ Level 2 and 3. I then became Room Leader in a baby room caring for children aged 3 months–3 years. My responsibilities included planning activities, safeguarding, feeding, nappy changing, sleep routines, observations, supporting development, communicating with parents and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment. I held this role for 6 years.
I then became a private nanny for a family with three children aged 6, 9 and 11. I provide full-time holiday cover, supporting home-school learning, housekeeping and organising fun, age-appropriate activities. I also prepare fresh homemade meals daily for the children and family to enjoy together.
