About Me

I am a friendly, caring and experienced childcare provider with around 8 years of experience working with children. I am also a proud mum of four, three of whom have additional needs, giving me both professional and personal experience of supporting children with SEND .
I hold a level 3 qualification in childcare and have worked as a Teaching Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant within a school environment and have also worked in a Nursery/ Pre-school.
I provide a warm, nurturing and flexible environment where every child is treated as an individual and supported to learn, play, explore and grow at their own pace. I believe in working closely with parents and building strong relationships to ensure every child's individual needs and routines are understood.
I have recently had my Ofsted inspection and received four area at Strong Standard Expected and two are at Standard Expected, which i am incredibly proud of.
My aim is to provide a home-from-home environment where children feel happy, secure, valued and confident. I understand that choosing childcare is a big decision, and i want parents to feel reassured knowing their little ones are receiving the best possible care.

My Experience

I have around eight years of experience working with children in a variety of roles and settings.
My experiences include:
Working with children of different ages and stages of development.
Working as a Teaching Assistant within a school environment.
Working as a Teaching Assistant, providing individual support to children.
Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Using my personal experience as a mum of four children, including three children with SEND, to develop a greater understanding of individual needs, routines, communication and emotional wellbeing.
Providing a caring, patient and flexible approach to childcare
I understand that every child is different and believe that children should be supported as individuals. I take the time to get to know each child, their personality and interests, strengths and individual needs.
I am committed to continuing my professional development and ensuring that i provide hight-quality care in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment

highly experienced and flexible Childcare provider

Our son has a complex set of emotional needs and Gemma is the only Childminder who has been able to make him feel happy and safe away from us. We would be truly lost with out her expertise, kindness and professionalism. I would highly recommend her childcare services
