Hi everyone, I’m Leah and I'm a level 6 qualified Nursery Practitioner living in Putney, London. I adore working with children and I am posting this to provide chances to support parents with their childcare as due to my experience in caring with children I understand the importance being able to take a break from the hectic nature and constant responsibilities childcare entitles. Due to my work hours I am mostly looking to provide support to parents or families who may simply just want a couple hours in the evening or some time on the weekend to do something nice for themselves for once!
I'm a highly outgoing and friendly person with lots of energy and enjoy keeping physical active so am very well equipped to keep up with the never ending energy children seem to possess. I love getting involved in whatever children are interested in or need during the day whether it be some quiet stories before bed, a trip to the park to burn out some energy or a bit of craft and messy play to get the children engaged and messy.
My Experience
I have been working in the childcare sector for 7 years now. While Ive primarily worked as a nursery teacher with children from 1-5 years and have the most knowledge and experience in regards to caring for children of that age, I have also had opportunities to care for babies within the baby room at my work settings and have also had jobs nannying at a ski resort, at after school/summer clubs at a primary school and on a cruise ship in childcare sector looking after children up to the age of 15 years.
My Qualifications
- level 6 qualified nursery practitioner with a BA in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Basic training in paediatric first aid
- DBS checked
- 7 years experience caring for child from the ages of 6 months-5 years
My Availability
I'm am usually available on weekends and Thursday the majority of the day warranting any other commitments and with a decent amount of prior notice. During weekdays I am available in the evening following my work shift which are completed at 5:45 so timing of availability would depend highly on location.
