I have a daughter of my own who is 10 and at school.

My Experience
My childcare career started in September 2017. I decided to look into childcare due to my daughter going to school and I wanted to find a job which was flexible and to my surprise I absolutely love it. I was hired by a childminder and employed to be her assistant, I helped prepare all meals for the children, plan activities and outings also became familiar with the EYFS, working with parents and working with other educational settings. Whilst at work we would have a balance of outdoor and indoor time, we would celebrate certain holidays with doing crafts, throw a party for children's birthdays and create fun role play experiences. When outdoors we would search for bugs, splash in puddles and even go to the beach.
From June 2020 I became a Nanny, looking after children one on one. I'm also happy to help with light housework.
Prior to childcare I worked in Mark's and Spencer's as an Operations Manager for 19 years. I learnt to problem solve and to think quickly which I feel is important when working with children. I worked well in a team but was also happy to work alone. I was always described as friendly, hardworking and approachable with a firm but fair attitude.
As mentioned earlier in my profile I have a 10 year old daughter who is full of life, she teaches me something new everyday and being a mother is the most rewarding thing I have done.
