About Me
Hello, I'm Neil. I am a full time tutor, teaching Primary students & ESL. Before that I taught in West Sussex and Hampshire (where I was on the Senior Leadership & led the Y3 team). I am married with two young children, well travelled and an author of a children's book 'Moondust.'
For Primary students I tutor the following: KS1 & KS2 Maths, Reading, Writing, Handwriting.
In addition, I teach ESOL, IELTS, Business and conversational English.
I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference. I am patient, reflective and believe strongly in integrity. I am compassionate and enjoy seeing the funny side of life and attempt to bring these qualities to my work. I am a dedicated, adaptable and friendly practitioner who loves to bring out the best in people.
My Experience
Over 30 years as a Primary Teacher and have been tutoring privately for the last five years. Experienced with Dyslexic and Dyscalculic children. I am also now very well prepared to support children with reading difficulties. I have studied widely on Reading Development and have completed the Reading Interventionist program online
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) Geography, with PGCE. I also have CELTA for English language tuition. DBS, EWC registered.

Mornings except Wednesday & Friday. Afternoons and early evenings

My Fees
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
£125 for x5 30 minute lessons, £150 for x5 45 minute lessons. I offer a 10% discount for clients who stay for more than 10 weeks (two blocks of 5 lessons)
