Childminder in Harrogate (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am an enthusiastic, patient and mindful person who loves a challenge. I have recently moved from London where I worked at Hawley Primary School, Camden as a Year 3 Primary Teacher. I hold a PGCE in KS1/KS2 Primary Education, Qualified Teacher Status and have 3 years experience working as a class teacher schools. During this period I specialised in SEND so I could provide equal opportunities for all children to access learning. I also specialised in Geography, which enabled me to teach children to interact meaningfully with the world around them.
Currently I am in training to become a forest school leader with the Forest School Association and have a passion for outdoor learning.
I also have extensive experience in childminding, working with several families in London that have included trips abroad. Responsibilities in these roles were the sole care of children between the ages of 11 months to 8 years, the planning of creative activities/clubs, organising play dates, cooking/preparing meals for the children and managing the nursery spaces.
I’ve grown up with labradors and have my own dog so I am comfortable with family pets. You will often find me exploring the outdoors with my dog and wild swimming. I’m looking forward to having children myself one day but until then I’m lucky enough to look after other peoples!

Children’s Workshop Lead April 2019 - Feb 2020
Rehandle
Hosting and designing children’s workshops that allow young people to understand environmental issues in a hands-on manner. By leading groups of up to 14 children between the ages of 6 - 16 years I was able to help them craft upcycled pencil cases, whilst teaching them the process of crafting. Providing a great break for parents amongst their busy schedules!
Private Childcare Nanny April 2015 - Sept 2016
Working closely with a family based in Teddington closely as their part-time nanny, where I have shown abilities to be reliable, trustworthy and prompt. Picking up the children from school, and making sure all their daily tasks were completed whilst upholding a responsibility for their safety, and of course, having fun! Taking into consideration the style of parenting the parents wish to uphold, and ensuring it’s transferred through everyday activities with the children.
