My Summary

My Experience

I have five years experience childminding experience working with children from ages 1-13. My approach is child-led, fun, creative, and with keeping children safe at it's heart.

I am also a youth worker and facilitator, working with young people in arts settings. Organisations I have worked with include Seven Stories: The National Centre for Children's Books, Live Theatre, the Young Women's Film Academy, The Twisting Ducks Theatre Company and NCS. I currently work as Lead Youth Worker at Jack Drum Arts, after having recently returned from being an English Language Assistant with the British Council at a secondary school in Berlin.

I have experience tutoring with a variety of young people from ages 8-16, and specialise in working with young people with additional needs such as dyslexia. My most recent experience was in Germany working with a young person learning English, and we work together to develop techniques to help complete his work whilst having dyslexia. I am able to tutor in English Literature up to A-Level. I also offer Biology and English Language tuition up GCSE, reading and phonics tuition, and essay writing preparation.

Throughout my career I have often worked with children and young people who have learning disabilities and neurodivergent young people. I work at The Twisting Ducks Theatre Company, where we work with artists with learning disabilities and artistic artists to co-create art and theatre projects, leading the youth theatre and projects with artists with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

My Availability

I work another job part time so would need to discuss availability as it depends week to week, but could be available on a regular basis if discussed.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

£15 per hour for babysitting and childminding, £20 for tutoring.
