About Me
I am a fully registered childminder with two children of my own. As a mother I know how important it is to make sure my children are not only developing, thriving and growing at day care, but also being loved and cared for. We love singing and dancing in this house, there’s never a dull moment.
I am incredibly hard working and take pride in what I do, but I have a good sense a humour and love being silly. I always endeavour to give the best of my ability, in which I'm willing to take on any challenges I may be faced with. I have twin and SEN experience and always had my children with me during my nannying days so I have vast experience in caring for multiple children.
I pride myself on giving a home from home experience in conjunction with the EYFS and learning through play. I believe it is important to have daily outdoor activities and I have a lovely little garden with two guinea pigs (Monica and Rachel), we have an allotment we visit weekly to plant, grow and eat throughout the year and we take the dog (Archie) to Audley End house and gardens throughout the summer time.
My Experience
I have worked with children for over a decade and throughout my experiences I have worked with three families as a nanny and have twin experience with two of these families.
I also have experience with primary school aged children where I worked as a teaching assistant in a key stage 2 class and had a small one to one group who needed additional learning.
While working at a private nursery I was promoted to early assessment for Special Educational Needs and became the nursery SEN co-ordinator the year before COVID hit.
My Qualifications
I have a BS Hons degree in counselling and child development. I'm level 4 qualified in Autism training and have a level 5 SENCO qualification I'm fully first aid trained and DBS checked and have completed my home based childcare course, food hygiene and safe guarding training.
My Availability
My setting is open Monday to Thursday, 51 weeks a year, 7.30-6pm.
