My Summary

My Experience

I have plenty of childcare experience, having volunteered at 'Orchard School' back in London I gained experience with disabled children with ranging disabilities from autism to down syndrome. I have also worked as an au pair, spending 6 months in France looking at 2 children aged 1-5, and taking kindergarten children skiing and sledging. I spent 3 months in Kenya working at a school where I taught English to children aged 3-16. I worked as a nanny looking after 2 children aged 6 and 9, where we spent lots of time playing in the woods and on the beach, and doing creative indoor activities. I have also run birthday parties at LUSH cosmetics where I lead activities with children using ethical beauty products.
I am a keen advocate of child-led learning to inspire creativity and passion in children. I volunteered with 'Little Tree Forest School' which used child-led learning to encourage children to challenge themselves outdoors. I also worked at a self-directed education project for young people aged 6-13, which involved the young people taking control of their education, helping them to lead their own passion projects, and learning from each other.
I also have two younger brothers aged 9 and 12 who I love to look after and hang out with!
I am currently working on an organic market garden, and as a restorative justice practitioner (involving going into school and running restorative justice workshops). I would love a part time childcare role to go alongside and compliment these roles.

My Qualifications

Although I have no official childcare qualifications (DBS check as an exception) I feel like my experience around the world has given me ample skills in childcare.
I also have my multiagency restorative practice facilitator training.

My Availability

A role suiting families who need extra childcare during school holidays would be ideal as I have more availability then.
I am available part time, and my hours vary week to week. A family who could be flexible, or need occasional or regular evenings would be ideal.
