My Experience

Being a mother is a lovely journey full of exciting moments and memories; my passion for children started 22 years ago when I had my first daughter and has continued till this day with my younger daughters and sons; and also the opportunity to volunteer in our local church in Manchester, England, where I became a children’s Sunday school teacher for 7 years now. To put it simply, I enjoy and love working with children. I believe strongly that, for me, the joy I get working with children, supporting their development, growth and learning journeys is a substantial reward. The interest in children is what provoked the decision to undergo Childminding training. Now I am trained, I have the knowledge required to professionally support mine and your children’s learning and development in a safe, nurturing and caring environment.

My aim and objectives as a professional Childminder are to ensure that parents and/or carers have peace of mind when they leave their children in my care, knowing that their young ones will receive qualitative and consistent learning opportunities that will ensure their progress is enhanced and that they are not 'left behind' in their learning and development. Part of my professional responsibilities also includes ensuring every child has Equality of opportunity driven by strong anti-discriminatory practices thereby ensuring every child is ‘included’ and supported while providing a secure foundation through learning and development opportunities which are planned around the needs and interests of each child; assessed and reviewed regularly. I also believe that working in partnership with parents and/or carers will ensure there’s a regular two-way flow of information as directed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS, UK) requirements.
