About Me
I'm looking for childcare and tutoring work alongside my postgraduate study. As I've detailed below, I really enjoy learning and the interactive, productive side of my degree. I'm personable and friendly, and I would hope to be a helpful addition to any family.
From a personal viewpoint, I am an aspiring filmmaker, writer, and creative, and I would love to be able to keep my pursuing my creative interests alongside my work. Working in childcare would allow me some flexibility and freedom which would undoubtedly make me a better worker!
My Experience
I babysat from my GCSE years to the end of sixth form, so from the age of 16-18, and babysat many families locally with age ranges from a few months to fourteen! I also have looked after my younger brother from a young age, who has special educative needs. I am not an expert in children with specialised needs by any means, but I am open to working with children of all abilities if it is agreed with parents that I can appropriately meet their needs.
I've also worked in customer service from the age of 15-present, so have lots of experience with working with people more generally. As for tutoring, I have achieved consistently high grades throughout my education as I will detail below. I have been an organised and enthusiastic student and I would love to be able to transfer those skills into helping others with their school work. I'm a visual learner and love finding ways to adapt homework and revision demands to the needs of students.
My Qualifications
I graduated with a first from my undergraduate degree. I have A*AB at A-level, in English Literature, History and French. At GCSE I achieved 5A*s including in English Literature, English Language, and History, 3 As including in Maths and French and one B, as well as a Distinction* in Creative Media BTEC Level 2.
My Availability
I’m available most evenings and weekends, although I have another part time job which is flexible.
