Katie looked after our ten-year-old daughter for four evenings while we were visiting Edinburgh for a week of the Festival in August 2023; on one evening the nine-year-old son of a friend of my wife, who was also staying with us for a few days, was there too. We've hired babysitters during the Festival for almost every year of my daughter's life, and I can say that Katie was one of the two best ones we've ever had. My daughter takes time to get to know people, but Katie made that easy; she engaged extremely well with her, played games with her, chatted to her, read to her and one evening made dinner for her. All being well, we'll be booking Katie next year! Highly recommended!

Katie is AMAZING! our boys love her :)
Katie looked after our 2 boys (1 and 3 years old at the time), 2 afternoons per week for a couple of months and then has also done the odd babysitting in the evening. Katie immediately got on with both our boys and they really enjoyed playing with her at our flat or going on local adventures. Katie was clearly an expert at communicating with our older boy and she had all sorts of creative ways of collaborating with him to get things done (e.g. getting ready to go outside). We were sad when Katie could no longer work with us regularly but we have really appreciated the odd babysitting, where Katie has managed to put both our kids to sleep solo- an impressive achievement!

Katie was outstanding in her role as an event nanny for our Edinburgh wedding.
Finding someone you could trust to care for your 2 year old daughter and nephews aged 2 & 7 on your wedding day was priceless and made such a difference to me being able to relax and enjoy the day.
Katie was super organised and proactive in visiting the venue before the day so she could plan for different eventualities (& possible Scottish weather!) and the children felt happy and comfortable very soon after meeting her.
She looked after them throughout the wedding day, sit down meal and evening celebrations keeping them busy with fun activities and able to fall happily asleep.
She also helped us later during our visit caring for the 3 children so we could happily go out for dinner knowing they were being safely cared for, given dinner and baths, and were all soundly asleep when we returned home.
She did an amazing job, I feel very lucky to have found her.

My previous babysitter found a full time job so I hired Katie for some ad-hoc hours with my 8 month old son and WOW this woman is truly a rockstar. I was blown away by her professionalism, kindness, attention to detail, humor, and overall presence. I almost didn't want to share how wonderful Katie is because I want to keep her all to myself, (haha) but she deserves 10 out of 5 stars. She is always so polite, helpful with cleaning after feeds, and truly makes such a fantastic effort with my boy-- she is a true master of her craft and I will be using her as often as possible!

We visited Edinburgh from Australia for a wedding and needed a nanny for the whole day and into the early hours of the morning. Katie did a video call with me first so we could chat and virtually meet which put me at ease as we wouldn’t have time to meet her beforehand.
On the day Katie turned up on time and had researched the best places yo take our 10 and 7 year old around Edinburgh. Our kids warmed to her straight away and I was instantly at ease. Our kids had an amazing time with Katie and she kept me updated on their adventures.
I would highly recommend Katie and just wish she was coming out to Sydney so that we could use her again.

Feel very lucky to have met Katie at short notice who provided childcare at the Edinburgh festival for my 18 month old. She is extremely knowledgeable and has great attention to detail - she also stepped in at the last minute to help out with my colleagues' kids who aged between 9 months and three years. She was totally flexible and completely unphased by all that was thrown at her. Plus all the kids loved her. Thank you Katie! x

I was stuck for childcare very last minute in a new city, and Katie came to our rescue one evening to sit for our 11 month old son. She was on time, friendly, and very confident with him, and dealt brilliantly with him waking up twice during the evening. She later came back another time to help us out at late notice again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Katie to anyone looking for childcare.
