About Me
Hi, I’m Tracey. I am 56 years old and have three children and six grandchildren. I am passionate about working with children and ensuring they have a secure, safe and fun environment in which they can learn and develop.
I run a home-from-home childcare setting operating from 8am–5pm during both term time and school holidays. I also provide a breakfast and after-school club for children attending a specific Wallasey-based school, as I am already committed to collecting children from there.
My setting is very outdoor-focused. We have access to a local allotment where the children learn how to plant and grow crops, while exploring and appreciating the natural environment. We regularly explore the outdoors and use public transport to visit places such as Liverpool Museum, which the children really enjoy.
I recognise that every child learns at their own pace. Through my curriculum planning and carefully considered next steps, I ensure each child is supported to achieve and make progress. We also enjoy activities such as soft play and occasional trips out to eat, as I believe it is important for children to experience being part of their wider community.
I actively promote recycling and sustainability within the setting, making use of natural and recycled resources in our daily activities.
My aim is to help children become school-ready and develop independence, while recognising that the early years are precious. I strongly believe that valuable learning happens both indoors and outdoors.
My Experience
Prior to having my own children, I worked in several nurseries and assisted in local youth clubs, gaining valuable experience working with children of different ages.
I then became a stay-at-home mum, dedicating my time to raising my own children. As my family grew, I also cared for my grandchildren while their parents were at work, further strengthening my hands-on childcare experience.
During the COVID period, I home-schooled my grandchildren, supporting their education and development during a challenging time. It was then that I decided to turn my passion into a profession and began the process of becoming an Ofsted-registered childminder.
I have now been an Ofsted-registered childminder for the past six years, caring for children from newborn through to 11 years old.
My Qualifications
am registered with Ofsted and committed to maintaining high standards within my setting.
I regularly complete professional development training and weekly webinars through Childcare.co.uk to ensure my knowledge remains current and up to date.
I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead and take my responsibility for children’s safety and wellbeing extremely seriously.
I hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification and am trained in the use of a defibrillator.
I have completed specialist training in Autism and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), enabling me to provide inclusive care tailored to each child’s individual needs.
My Availability
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Fees are payable monthly.
AM School Club: £15
PM School Club: £20
Holiday Club / Full Day: £45
Ad hoc care: £6.50 per hour
