Hi, I’m Sylva, a 24 year old based in Edinburgh.
I recently returned from travelling around Southeast Asia and Australia after leaving my full-time role in influencer marketing. Travelling was an amazing experience that helped me grow in confidence, independence, and adaptability, and now that I’m home I’m looking forward to working with children again.
I have experience caring for children of different ages through both nannying and babysitting. I’ve worked with two families and absolutely loved being part of their daily lives, whether that was helping with homework, organising activities, playing games, or simply keeping routines running smoothly. I still keep in touch with one of the families, which is something I’m really grateful for.

My Experience
I have experience working with two families as a nanny, caring for children across a range of ages. My role included school pick ups, supporting with homework, planning activities, preparing meals and snacks, and helping with the day to day running of the family home. In addition to my professional childcare experience, my sister recently welcomed a baby, giving me regular hands on experience caring for a newborn. This has helped me become confident with feeding, changing, soothing, and supporting the daily routines of babies and very young children.
In my final year of school, I volunteered in a Primary 1 classroom three days per week. Supporting children in their learning and development quickly became the highlight of my week and reinforced my passion for working with children.
I genuinely enjoy creating a positive and caring environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and able to thrive.
