About Me
Hello! I’m Leanné and I live with my husband and our two beautiful boys aged 6 and 13 years. We live together in New Haw along with our lovely cat Mary, who is very friendly. We have a warm and welcoming home with a lovely large garden where we spend lots of time playing and learning outside. I come from a large family and love being around children. I get great fulfilment in providing a fun and nurturing environment where I enjoy encouraging the children to explore their interests and develop their own ideas whilst guiding them in their learning to evolve, question, express themselves and grow in self-confidence. We love to spend time outdoors exploring and pricking curiosity about the world around us, making use of nature, varied resources and our imaginations! We love to craft, bake, read, sing, dance, explore the world around us, go on adventures outside, immerse ourselves in imagery role play and always have fun! I am child led and centre children’s learning experiences around their interests to maximise their engagement whilst providing a varied and exciting curriculum to prepare them for school. It is really important to me that children feel happy, comfortable and safe in my setting, and the learning always comes naturally if these foundations are firm. This is why I offer a very much home from home environment where children can be relaxed in their learning through play.
My Experience
I was a registered Childminder with Ofsted from July 2020 and had three wonderful years in childcare. I then spent 2 years as an Assistant Teacher in school providing support to children both in class and on a 1:1 basis, providing bespoke learning opportunities to meet each child’s needs. My passion for Early Years care and education led me back to re registering as an Ofsted Childminder in July 2025. I have a very nurturing and caring nature and get great fulfilment from supporting children in their early years to explore, learn and develop.
I have experience with children aged from birth to 13 years and I have experience with additional and SEN children, allergies and medical conditions including being fully trained T1 diabetes. We attend drop off and pick up at The Grange Community Infant School and New Haw Junior Schools everyday. Having two children of my own and ten nieces and nephews, I have spent a lot of time with young children and very much enjoy seeing them grow into confident young people. I have completed all training as required by Ofsted including Safeguarding and paediatric first aid which are both in date and refreshed inline with Ofsted statutory requirements. Both myself and my husband have been fully checked through DBS checks. I am always looking to increase and expand my knowledge and skill set and often attend additional training.
My Qualifications
I have full pre registration childminder training, paediatric first aid training, SEN training (including Positive Touch), Type 1 diabetes training.
My Availability
I currently have availability on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9:00am - 5:30pm

My Fees
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour
My hourly rate is £9.00 per hour including all food, drinks, snacks, most outings and consumables (wipes, nappies etc). A non conditional voluntary contribution where funded hours fall outside of my hourly rate is preferred but not compulsory. This allows me to offer continued access to outings, playgroups and activities to ensure children receive an enriched, well rounded curriculum.
