My Summary

My Experience

I began my career with kids caring for a 19 year old boy with cerebral palsy. I would look after him on long shifts, making sure he is healthy, happy and cared for.
I then became a nanny in Australia and continued this when I returned to England. I was a regular babysitter for many years looking after kids aged between 0-12. My responsibilities included taking them to and from school, cooking for them, putting them to bed, playing and doing work around the house.
I then moved to Bristol where I became a learning assistant in SEN schools for 3 years. My job was to circulate through classrooms of children between 3-16 with varying needs, helping them to engage with the lessons, do their work, enjoy sensory time, learn music and play whilst providing personal care.
I have a lot of experience working with special needs children, I ran classes in Sri Lanka for 3 months for children who have autism and down syndrome where we would play, colour, sing, dance and learn together. It was incredibly rewarding!
Most recently I was working in Spain as an English language teacher, teaching kids between 4-13 in an after school club.
I have also been a part of a program that provides education to children who were asked to leave school in order to help them become employed. This was challenging but I feel really helped me develop communication skills, boundaries and teaching skills.

1st class degree in psychology from the University of Liverpool
First aid training
Accredited natural physician

My Availability

My job allows me to be flexible however my schedule is constantly changing due to wedding bookings and events, so ad hoc suits me a lot.
