About Me
My name is Carly and I am an Outstanding Ofsted registered childminder working in Elswick. Before becoming a childminder, I worked as a primary school teacher for 5 years in Manchester. Although I loved being a teacher; I now want to use my teaching skills to provide excellent at home childcare for babies and children from birth to 11 years of age. I have experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds including those with special education needs and disabilities.
I am enthusiastic about education and I always strive to do the absolute best I can for the children I have the pleasure of working with.
I live with my son Fletcher. Since having my little boy, I feel I really understand the importance of learning through play and this is something I have become very passionate about over the last year. Discovering children’s specific interests and strengths helps me to plan activities for the children that are stimulating engaging and fun. I am a very creative person and love to go above and beyond.
Our setting is located in the beautiful little village of Elswick and is surrounded by countryside and picturesque views. Children will have daily access to the back garden where they can make use of the Wendy house, sand and water table and investigate all the flowers and creatures our flowery garden has to offer.
We have a beautiful playroom which is designed for children to be able to access their learning independently. We have many engaging toys, books and resources for all ages to enjoy and discover. We have different areas to meet all the development needs of young children and exciting activities will be planned to focus on their strengths and next steps. Above all we love to have fun with our learning, whether this is splashing in puddles or building a den to read in.
We love to get out and about and go on regular visits to:

I have a degree in Primary Education and have worked as a primary school teacher for 5 years primarily in Year 1. I have my own son who was born in January 2019.

My Availability
My working hours are 8:00am - 5:30pm every day. Other times may be agreed – please enquire and I may be able to accommodate. Unfortunately we do not live close enough to a school to be able to offer pick ups and drop offs for school aged children and currently only have a 5 seater car.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Hourly rate: £4.50
Daily rate: £38 (based on 10 hours) any additional hours will be charged at the standard hourly rate if within business hours
Term time only: If a term-time only contract is needed, prices will be increased to secure your place for the full year and costs will be split over 12 months. Increased hourly rate of £5 and daily rate of £42.
Meals: Meals will be charged at £1 per meal per day. If you wish to provide your own meals this can be accommodated.

My 7 yr old boy loves Carly. She brings different activites each week for him to do and makes it fun for him and tailors to his interests. He loves his weekly private tutor sessions with her in our home.
