About Me

Welcome to Abbey Childcare services

Now full until September 2027

My name is Cara, I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I have worked in childcare since 2017.
When childminding I work from my family home and 2 days a week with my mother Caron (also a registered childminder) She has over 20 years experience in childcare and is an early years teacher. We have a dedicated playroom.
I have a full driving license and my own vehicle (I also have all stage car seats).

I am caring and patient and have lots of energy. I really enjoy organising different activities which will enable children’s development whilst most importantly having fun!

My Experience

I gained a childcare qualification at Bexhill college. I also have a paediatric first aid qualification and a portable DBS. I have worked in a variety of different childcare settings prior to setting up my own childcare business such as: as a registered nanny, registered childminder’s assistant, and a practitioner in 3 other nuseries including a large outdoor forest school nursery. These positions have been for paid work, work experience and as a volunteer.

I have worked with children since 2017 with children aged from 5 months to 10 years. I have also cared for children with a variety of different needs such as ADHD, autism, epilepsy. I have experience with children for whom English is an additional language.
