About Me
I am not your average nanny! As well as being reliable, fun, and warm, and having clear and fair boundaries, I am mid-way through training as a psychologist. I have a Psychology MSc, a Cambridge degree in Biology, and an interest in nature, animals, and music (cellist/singer). I also cycle, swim, and enjoy gardening/allotment growing. Full clean driving licence - own car or can drive family car. I can basically join in with anything that your kids enjoy! I aim to support the wellbeing of the whole family by listening and communicating well, seeking to understand difficulties, and working alongside parents to create a more harmonious daily life. I have recently relocated to Penzance for family reasons - TR18 based.
My Experience
Nannying since 2019 (including twins and SEN) alongside studying Psychology and working as an Assistant psychologist with children at a specialist therapy centre using horses and outdoor activities. Previously a teacher/tutor of English language including academic writing. I work with children aged 9 months upwards. References available.
My Qualifications
Registered with Ofsted. Fully first aid trained, allergy & asthma competent, SEN aware, Early Years Core training Level 3, Food Hygiene Level 2. Mental Health First Aid Champion. Psychology MSc (distinction, Middlesex University), BA (Hons) Biological Natural Sciences (2.1, Cambridge).
My Availability
Flexible over the summer. From late September 2026 I will be unavailable on Mondays due to ongoing training.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
Fees vary depending on the number and ages of children, and what sorts of tasks and activities are required.
