About Me

BUTTERCUP LANE CHILDMINDERS

HI our Names are Lia Price & Karl Stead and we work together giving children a home from home , safe and loved childcare. we have been childminders now for a number of years since 2008 .
we love children and they bring joy every day.
Together we have 2 daughters 19 & 22.

2 cats called cookie & daisy


we are really passionate about our role and each child is looked at as family . We have a amazing relationship with children & parents. Together we are open minded and will go above and beyond to help you .

We only do drop off and pick ups from EAST ARDSLEY ACADEMY SCHOOL

but we have covered many schools over the years but only if it fits in with our diary on request at the time. if we can do it we will help you .

We follow the EYFS framework and we carry out different activities every day. Each day and week is a adventure. we love been out and about exploring and distance is never a issue. we travel all over to give our children as much fun & experience as we can ,following and adapting to their learning development. We are big believers been outdoors and think it is the best way to learn and stay healthy . We are members of many places to visit 1- national trust 2- English heritage 3- Lotherton hall , 4- Eureka 5- rhs Harlow Carr . 6- the deep .
we often go to the coast to play , visit museums and soft play
We meet up regularly with local childminders to mix & make new friends .
We own 2 vehicles to allow our children to travel to all the exciting places. Our main vehicle the children travel in is a 9 seater mini bus ford tourneo and for holidays we also have our kia serento 7 seater if we need it. so we are never stuck in . Weather never puts us off . we make the best of everything.

* We are CHILD FRIENDLY LEEDS ambassadors and have been nominated 5 years running for best place in Leeds for children & young people and adults making a difference to young people.
which we are very proud of .

* We are also very very proud Ambassadors for pulse 1 radio ( formally known as RADIO AIRE ) LEEDS CASH FOR KIDS charity . Where we help local sick, deprived and disadvantaged children in West Yorkshire . Through out the year we raise money to help give them a better way of life . * in 2018 we raised money to have made and give to our local community a beautiful
LITTLE FREE LIBRARY for everyone to use adults & children . though we have hundreds of books in our setting we like to go for a walk and let the children choose from our little library meadowside little library. come rain or shine you can read a book anytime

* We also get our children involved with two other activities we set up for the children and families of East Ardsley community

- East Ardsley Fairy doors, enchanted woodland walk
-East Ardsley rocks

both these have took off and families are loving getting their children involved and been creative and then finding and hiding them . They get excited and want to walk to school.
