My Summary
About Me
My name is jo, I live with my husband and my son who is 17. We also have a dog called Luna.
In my setting my main priority is to build positive relationships with the children and their families, through good communication, to help fulfil the needs of the children as they grow and develop.
I like to give the children the opportunity to explore the local community by visiting playgroups, cafes, local library and playgrounds. I enjoy spending time outside going on nature walks in the local woodland and the community apple orchard.
As part of our daily routines the children will learn about self care, kindness and respect for others. They will learn about healthy eating and help to grow vegetables in my garden.
My Experience
I was a community care worker for over 10 years. I also worked in my local nursery for 3 years, then became a childminder in 2015.
My Qualifications
I hold an NVQ level 2 in health and social care and I have completed many courses during my time as a childminder, I also have a paediatric first aid qualification.
My Availability
I have availability from September 2026.

Jo is a fantastic childminder who has looked after our daughter since she was 11 months old. They regulary get out in the community to playgroups and visit the library and local parks. My daughter’s confidence and speech as developed massively since being with Jo. She has a warm and welcoming environment where my daughter confidently goes in every time. She will send us pictures of different things she has been doing and her communication is fantastic.
I would recommend Jo to anyone who needed a childminder. She is flexible when needed and understands our daughter’s individual need. She is amazing!
