PGCE:
I have completed a PGCE in primary teaching and have 2 years of experience teaching in a primary school. I have experience across Nursery- year 6 and have been a class teacher for year 1, 2 and 2. This provides many benefits for a childcare/ tutoring role.
-In depth knowledge of primary curriculum including phonics and effective teaching methods. (I am more than happy to help with tutoring/ homework/ pre learning.)

Babysitter:
I met the family on this website and babysat their 2 children every week whilst I was at university. The children were aged 2 and 5, I was responsible for helping with homework/ pre learning, supporting child led play and putting the children to bed following their nighttime routine. I had an excellent relationship with the family and am still in contact with their mum.

Au pair:
Camaiore Italy 03/07/22-20/09/22
• Lived with a family of 5 and took care of their 3 children aged 1,5 and 10.
• Used imaginative ways to teach the children English through play.
• Engaged in activities with the children including sports, art, and imaginative play.
• Prepared food, ensuring a nutritious and balanced diet was available to the children.
• Completed light housework, creating a safe and hygienic environment for the children to play in.
• Took the children out on trips to the park, shops, town and to get ice cream, using the opportunity to implement good habits surrounding safety outdoors and on the road.
• Followed the baby’s nap time routine, putting him to bed every day after lunch.
• Changed nappies, administered medication, and attended to injuries.
• Acted as a responsible adult figure in their life, being present with the children and constantly available to support them in any way required.
• Took the opportunity to immerse myself in Italian culture and explore a new country, meeting many new people and constantly pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

Nursery assistant:
Hertfordshire, April/2021- September/ 2021
• Provided care to children aged 0-5 years old at various nursery settings
• Assisted the children whilst they learned through play
• Assisted during nap time, meal preparation, tidying up and cleaning.
• Participated in and leading activities for the children, inspiring interest in art, sports, and music.
• Read to the children, encouraging their enjoyment of books and literary development.
• Participated in, and lead sensory activities for the children, helping them to explore different textures and develop their motor skills whilst learning through play.
• Provided emotional support for children and helped them manage their feelings in an effective way.
• Spent one on one time with children struggling with behavioural issues.

Mental Health Ambassador:
Simon Balle: Hertford 10/2019-04/2020
• Worked to promote positive attitudes towards mental health and well being in primary and secondary school through education and conversation.
• Worked closely with a group of year three students to support them with the difficult social aspects of the education system, such as the value of friendship as well as the meaning and importance of respect.
• Implemented a 'worry box' scheme in order to listen and advise primary school students with any concerns they had in relation to school.

Teaching Assistant work experience:

• Mentored and assisted an eleven-year-old boy with learning difficulties in his religious studies lessons once a week.
• Explored creative ways to aid his understanding of the content as well as supporting him with tasks, reading and writing.

Tutor:

• Mentored struggling GCSE students by teaching English Literature and aiding revision to support them through exams

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
