Have 2 grown up children of my own, and a 2 year old granddaughter. Educational psychotherapist by training and a lot of experience working with children, with and without significant special educational needs. Trained whole schools on emotional health in schools. Ex school counsellor with brilliant references.
Relocated to St Ives in 2013 and live in the heart of the town. Have current DBS certification. Swim teacher, part qualified yoga teacher. Write and play sax and care for 90 year Mother in Law with Alzheimers. Looking for part time work that brings me back in touch with small children - it's what I do best of all.

Worked for Warwickshire County Council Educational Psychology Service 2004. Worked as self employed schools counsellor until 2013. Significant experience with children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Working with individuals, small groups and whole classes. Accredited trainer in many models including therapeutic story writing, Zippy's Friends PHSE & C, Therapeutic Story Writing, Quality Cirle Time. Volunteer child protection officer for St Ives Concert Band

Dip Counselling. RSA Cert Counselling. ASA Swim Teaching Award. Yoga teaching practitioner (part qualified).

Laura was so fantastic with our 16 month old son. We booked her for a couple of afternoons to look after the baby while we took our older children to other activities and he was so happy with her - she was engaged with him the whole time, playing brilliant games and he loved her. My older daughters were also spellbound by her stories! We can’t wait to come back to see her in Hayle soon.
