About Me

Hello I’m Charlotte I’m 42 and i am NNEB qualified I have worked with children for the last 24 years. Where I have travelled with my work in the UK and abroad, I have now moved home to Hedge End.

I became a mummy to my son in 2020 so I decided to become a registered childminder, after being a nanny for 23 years.

I’m open 2 full days a week Tuesdays andWednesdays, I am only able to accept full day children 8am - 5pm. I also offer at my discretion overnights and weekend work to be agreed between the parent and myself if required.

I have experience with children aged newborn to school age.
I love my career helping raise children to nurture and develop them in to little adults they will become one day. Preparing them for the next steps ahead in life.

I’m very organised, caring, loving and fun. I’m also firm but fair, manners cost nothing.
I love to encourage a child’s imagination through role play, other activities I love to do are baking, arts and crafts, outdoor activities.

I have memberships to Marwell zoo and Manor farm and love to be out when the weather permits. In the colder wetter months if we can’t get out as much, we go to a lovely local playgroup, library, play dates with other childminders either at my house or there’s.

I have a beautiful playroom with a number of different toys to encourage your child’s development. I also have a lovely outdoor space with a climbing frame, children's outdoor kitchen and toys.

I have been a qualified NNEB nanny for over 23 years. I have cared for many children in a home setting mostly as a full time sole charge Nanny. Some of my nanny positions have also included PA work related to the family or their family run business.

My main ages of children i have cared for are newborn to school age.

I have worked abroad in Los Angeles and the Cayman Islands, before this I nannied in London and local areas in Hampshire, Wickham, Winchester, Meonstoke and Bishops Waltham.

I started my career working in a Nursery in Hedge End where i did some of my training.

I have done proxy parenting on occasion due to parents traveling for work or vacation.

My Qualifications

NNEB in childcare I obtained this in May 2000 after a 2 year course. The course is aimed at early years 0-7 it was based on an in-depth knowledge of the physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs of the different ages.

I had 3 practical placements one in an infants school in a reception class, a home setting with a mum and baby and a Nursery setting where i worked in the toddler and pre school rooms.

I'm also first aid trained and DBS checked which are both up to date.

I have completed a safeguarding course and food hygiene course.

I am ofsted registered.

My Availability

I am open to weekend work but that is a higher rate of £15 an hour.

My Fees

  • Childminding from £6.50 per hour

I accept all funding and my hourly rate for childminding days Tuesday and Wednesday is £6.50. Any weekend work is £15 an hour.
