Hi, my name is Théa, 26, I am a very bubbly, outgoing, kind person who really does adore children. I am a very creative person and I bring that creative side when it comes to nannying and activities with children.
I grew up in rural England (Suffolk) on a farm surrounded by my siblings and animals- dogs, cats, horses and chickens. So, I know what a busy household looks like!
My mother was a nanny in Paris for 8 years so perhaps that is why I feel I have this inhernet ability to look after children. I also learnt to cook from my mum as she was also a chef in France and then came to England to pursue her cooking career, so with that in mind I’m no stranger to the kitchen. I have learnt a lot from her through her experiences as well as my recent experiences being a nanny.
I moved to London 2 years ago now and have been a nanny for 1.5 years of that whilst studying Interior and Spatial Design at Camberwell, both of which I loved/love.
My Experience
I've had experience with ages between 4-12 years old and have been a babysitter within family and outside family, a full time and part-time nanny too.
I have had previous experience looking after my brother when he was younger within my family a lot. This then fed through when I was asked to look after my partner's younger brother (8 years old) during the pandemic. I planned an itinerary weekly, homeschooling him, doing different activities daily and a lot of cooking- I learnt a lot from this and honestly can say I enjoyed every moment of it. This lead me onto wanting to be a nanny.
I then moved to London and got a job working for a family of 4, looking after a 4 year old and a 6 year old. They became like family too me and i still keep in contact with them now and do the odd babysitting for them. My weekly schedule was doing pick ups from school, taking them to swimming, gymnastics, doing some homework and planning games and entertainment for them before dinner and bath time.
I have had many years of experience with kids and it's a job that I love and want to keep doing part-time.
I have a very empathetic nature where I can relate to children's feelings and understand why they are feeling the way they do. Patience is a necessity and allows me to handle challenging situations calmy and providing them with the emotional support they may need from me.
I have a very natural creative ability to come up with fun, enteraining games that be educational or just for fun. In my last job, for example, me and the kids made a science monopoly board which helped them learn about the solar system whilst making it fun- they loved it! I also have an arrary of arts and crafts things in my home which I brought quite often with me when working as a nanny previously.
My Qualifications
I have a First Aid qualification and I have a one in hygiene and safety for cooking. (Health and safety Grade 2)
