Cai
Nanny in London: Hackney (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Dear Parent,
My name is Cai Pink, and I am looking for a full-time, permanent nanny position with a warm and welcoming family in or around Hackney and the surrounding areas.
I am a warm, energetic and dependable nanny with over five years of childcare experience, caring for children from infancy through to school age, including babies, twins and triplets. I genuinely love being part of family life and take great pride in becoming a trusted, consistent and nurturing presence in a child’s world.
Child development is a particular passion of mine. Alongside my practical childcare experience, I have studied Psychodynamics of Human Development at MSc level, deepening my understanding of early childhood development, attachment, relationships and the importance of a secure and encouraging environment. My approach is child-centred and strength-based: I love discovering each child's individual personality, interests and abilities and helping them develop confidence, independence and curiosity.
I particularly enjoy incorporating Montessori-inspired principles into everyday life, encouraging children to explore, make age-appropriate choices, participate in practical tasks and learn through hands-on experiences. I believe some of the best learning happens naturally through play, conversation, creativity and exploration rather than through screens.
One of my favourite parts of nannying is creating memorable childhood and family experiences. Whether that means planning an exciting day out, finding a new activity or class, creating sensory or developmental play at home, visiting museums and libraries, baking together or simply turning an ordinary afternoon into an adventure, I love giving children opportunities to explore their world. It is incredibly rewarding to support children through their milestones — from first foods, words and steps to starting nursery or school, developing friendships and becoming increasingly independent.
Relationship-building is at the heart of the way I work. My professional experience supporting children and families has strengthened my ability to communicate thoughtfully, understand behaviour in a developmentally appropriate way and build trusting relationships with both children and parents. I value consistency, encouragement and positive reinforcement, while maintaining clear, age-appropriate boundaries and routines. Above all, I want the children in my care to feel happy, secure, confident and celebrated for who they are.
I am equally happy getting stuck into the practical side of family life and am proactive with children's laundry, preparing nutritious meals, organising their belongings and spaces, planning activities and completing child-related household tasks. I enjoy working collaboratively with parents and adapting to each family's individual routines, values and parenting style.
Outside of work, I am an avid reader and keen traveller, having travelled both independently and as a nanny. I am flexible about travelling with a family and love the opportunity to help children experience new places, cultures and adventures.
As the children I have cared for have grown and reached new stages in their lives, I am now excited to find my next long-term family. I would love to build a genuine relationship with a family, contribute positively to their home and have the privilege of watching their children grow, develop and achieve their milestones over the years.
I hope my profile is of interest, and I look forward to hearing from you!
All the best,
Cai
