My Experience

My childcare experience started 34 years ago as a nanny in New York for 6 months. Having my own children and then running a preschool for 3 years, I then went into Primary School for 15 years and trained as a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant. Progressing within the same school, I became the Pupil Premium Champion, looking after children and working with parents from under privileged backgrounds. In addition to this, I was the SEN assistant for the school.

In September 2020 I joined a lovely family as their nanny with sole charge to a very energetic b1. With the happy addition of a baby brother in July 2021. I continued to work with this family until end of December 2021, when both parents took 6 months off to spend time as a new family, which meant I was no longer needed.
In February 2022 I worked two full days a week, looking after a newborn baby girl, b16mo and g4. In addition to this I worked on a Tuesday as a nanny for a team of five - mummy, daddy and charges b5, g3 and g1.
Currently I look after a b4 and g3 and have been with this family for a year.

Unfortunately children grow and move onto school, which means I’m looking for my final team to grow with. I honestly feel like a Nanny McPhee!

I’m looking for 2-3 full days per week but can be flexible on a weekly basis.
I love messy play, baking, reading books and generally introducing children to as many different experiences as possible to ensure all milestones are covered.
I have a clean driving licence and my own vehicle but prefer to have use of family car.
Excellent references available from all of my employers. I still occasionally work for all my nanny employers and will be forever part of their families.

My Qualifications

CACHE Level 2 Preschool Practice, CACHE Level 3 Childcare, Level 4 HLTA. Paediatric First Aid qualified. Numicon qualified trainer, safeguarding children

My Availability

Part-time, live out nanny. Available January 2025

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)

All expenses paid directly. Overtime always optional, including evening babysitting/overnight stays.
