About Me
Hi, my name is Lauren. I am a friendly and caring Ofsted registered childminder based in Swinton.
I live with my husband, Rob and our two children aged 15 and 10. I provide a warm, welcoming and safe home-from-home environment where children can feel happy, secure and valued.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to support children’s learning, development, health and wellbeing. I offer a wide range of fun activities, toys and experiences that encourage children to learn through play and help them reach their full potential.
I enjoy taking children on regular outings to places such as soft play centres, parks, libraries, farms and local baby and toddler groups giving them opportunities to explore, socialise and develop new skills.
I also offer before and after school childcare for children attending Grosvenor Road Primary School. As I live very close to the school we can enjoy a safe and easy walk to and from school each day.
Healthy home-cooked meals and nutritious snacks are provided throughout the day.
I aim to create a nurturing environment where children can grow in confidence, make friends, have fun and feel right at home.
My Experience
I have two children of my own aged 14 and 10, which gives me valuable personal experience and understanding of children’s needs at different stages of development.
I have over 15 years of childcare experience, including 10 years working in nurseries with children of under 5 and 5 years as a registered childminder of all ages. Throughout my career I have developed a strong understanding of how children learn, grow and thrive in a nurturing environment.
Alongside childminding I also run Little Stars Community Group which provides stay-and-play sessions for children under 5 and their families. This role allows me to support young children within the local community and create opportunities for learning, play and social interaction.
I am passionate about providing high-quality childcare where every child feels safe, happy, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ in children's leaning and development,
I am registered with OFSTED and myself and my husband are on the DBS update service which is updated yearly.
I have up to date safeguarding/child protection training, Paediatric first aid and Level 2 food hygiene.
I am insured through PACEY.
My Availability
I currently have term-time only spaces available, including funded childcare places.
I also offer school wraparound care Monday to Friday for children attending Grosvenor Road Primary School.
My working hours are 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. I understand that every family’s needs are different so I can be flexible where possible to accommodate individual requirements.
