Hi I am Olivia, I offer babysitting services. I have been babysitting for local families for the past 6 years in and around Leeds. I am currently full time Speech and Language Therapist.
I am a very happy, fun, energetic person. I love to be around children and help parents have some well deserved time off.
My Experience
My experience with children started in my undergraduate degree. I studied Childhood studies where I took a particular interest in special educational needs.
After graduating, I became employed at a nursery where I worked for 2 years. I had 1 year experience in the pre-school room (age 3-4 year olds) and the second year I moved to the toddler room (age 1-2 years old) where I was promoted to room leader. Additionally, I was a one to one support worker for a child with special education needs in the nursery. I had a lot of training in Autism and intensive interaction.
My time at the nursery allowed me to see the work of a Speech and Language Therapist which inspired me to go back to studying a Speech and Language masters course to pursue this career path. Since leaving the nursery I have kept in contact with a lot of the families I had built up a good relationship with which led me to offer babysitting services.
Alongside my studies at university, I had a small Saturday job. I was a play support worker for a charity run group called "People in Action". My group consisted of children aged 8-12 with special education needs. The group was fun and taught the children life skills and independence.
I then graduated in September 2021 and have since been fulfilling my role as a Paediatric Speech and Language therapist whilst continuing to do my babysitting services.

I work till 3.30pm however I currently nanny for a family 5pm until 6.30pm. Also available in school holidays

Olivia has been great with my 2 children, 9 and 7. My 9 year old in particular can be anxious around new people but Olivia put him and the whole family at ease. She took time to get to know both the children and chat and play with them during her time here. I would highly recommend Olivia to anyone looking for childcare support.
Overall
Olivia has babysat our 2 children several times. She’s really reliable and the kids both love her. Would not hesitate to recommend Olivia.

Olivia has helped babysit our son Sean since he was 8 months old. He instantly took to olivias personality and style as did me and my wife. We know we don't need to worry or check in whilst Sean is in Olivias care.

Olivia has babysat my two children on several occasions, including one overnight stay. She is very open to discussing arrangements and we have really appreciated her flexibility in helping us at short notice on occasions.
The kids really like her and she is very experienced with young children, having worked at a nursery. She has a good balance of fun and authority with the kids so we can trust that she’s in charge when we’re not around and that the kids enjoy her company.

Olivia has been looking after my two young children since 2019, and I can safely say I won't be using anyone else.
Both my son and daughter love her and see her as a friend more than anything, often asking when they will be seeing her next. It is very clear to see that she has extensive experience working with children, with her bubbly personality translating to people of all ages. Olivia's enthusiasm and inquisitive nature has really helped my children grow in confidence, as my daughter in particular was quite shy with others before Olivia began helping us.
Olivia is very reliable, professional and trustworthy, with a flexiblity where she always tries to accommodate to our needs. Most of all, she is the perfect person to look after your children.
