About Me
Hi families,
My name is Nadège and I run a small childcare provision in Muncastergate, Heworth. Working as an Early Years lead and Deputy Headteacher for 10 years, I have extensive knowledge of the early years curriculum and provide an educational environment with high quality adult led and child initiated activities. At Wellbeans, I am passionate about holistic health both as a parent and an educator. I deliver a range of activities to support children with their confidence and wellbeing, such as: yoga, cooking, mindfulness and ‘Connecting to Nature’ outdoor activities.
My Experience
Wellbeans offers a professional, high quality learning experience within a personalised, home from home environment. Core daily activities include singing, stories, phonics (pre-reading skills), a communication focus, or emotional literacy focus. These form the grounding to reading, writing and continued development. Teaching of Phonics is a particular specialism of mine and I plan daily activities that enhance these vital communication skills.
The setting has an open plan indoor space with a natural and airy feel leading straight to the outside garden. I often attend playgroups along with visits to the local parks, library and museums. I love being outdoors and this reflects in my practice as I recognise how powerful it is to explore the amazing playground that is our world with the children. I am trained to provide outdoor activities that increase a child’s self-belief, confidence, communication, problem solving skills and emotional well-being.
My Qualifications
Psychology Degree, PGCE Primary and Early Years Teaching, Level 3 Homebased Childcare
My Availability
I am open from 7:30am until 5:30pm Monday to Thursday during school term-time, although I appreciate each child and their family have their own busy schedules which I will always try to accommodate.
