My name is Emily More and I am 20 years old. I am a registered Nanny, with updated paediatric first aid training, PVG AND DBS checks and completely covid vaccinated.
Alongside my work, I am a student going into my second year of university where I study child and youth studies, which is completely online based.
I have been employed as a nanny since May 2022 for 2 families with children varying from the ages of 9 months to 9 years.
I am a very kind and bubbly person who love to make people smile and laugh, I’m a very creative person who love to bake and create new recipes and if you are happy I could show your child/children how to. I love to dance and sing and will always be singing along to any song that is on, especially if it’s Disney or from a musical. I have a very nurturing personality and have always been the “mum” of my friend groups, I’m extremely responsible and have always been like that from a young age, from helping serve tea and coffees at church, to doing the shopping, cooking dinner, babysitting family friends kids, being a guide leader, I’m always up for it. I believe I am an extremely fair type of person and will always do what is right. Overall I want what is best for you and your child/children and am always here to help with any extra jobs you need done, I am very adaptable and understanding. I am so excited to hear from you to get started on this journey together.
My Experience
Ever since I’ve been little I’ve always been the type of person who wanted to hold the baby and play with the little kids to look after them and as I grew up so did my nurturing trates.
Every Sunday I would help out with crèche with the babies, and from doing that continuesly things came very natural to me. I learnt how to feed and burp babies, sooth them when they are crying, how to put them to sleep, change them and so on. My love for babies and young children continued to grow and that was when my granny suggested I start babysitting and I did and I have done it many times.
My first experience was with a close family friend who had two beautiful little boys both under two, the eldest with special needs which helped me grow much more aware and knowledgeable. I would get to take them out for walks to the park and play with them, feed and put them to sleep, some days I would even get to babysit for the whole day which I absolutely loved and this is what made me know that I wanted to take care and work with babies and young children.
I have also done regular babysitting in the evenings for another church family friend who have three children all under 4. This is what really helped me gain huge amounts of confidence in what I was doing because I was getting that experience I needed. I would feed them dinner, wash and clean up for the parents, play with them, care for the baby, do their nighttime routine and put them to bed.
I was a fun and most importantly a fair babysitter so it meant we both extremely enjoyed our times together and because of that these kids will always hold a special place in my heart.
For around 3 years I was a girl guiding leader for my local guiding unit which gave me responsibility of looking after girls from the ages of 10-15. I got to teach these girls lessons, new skills, take them on trips and to camps. When at camps I would be in the kitchens at the crack of dawn and late evening prepping meals for 200+ girls, helping lead activities and be responsible for my unit and because of that I have become who I am now, not only have I been able to teach them things but they taught me that I’m able to do all that and do it well, so I’m forever grateful for my time as a leader.
I am now an employed nanny for a family of three who works two afternoons a week, and would love to continue on this path.

My Availability
I currently am a student studying child and youth studies online part time and work Monday and Tuesday 9.30 to 4.30 and Wednesday and Thursday 3-6 as a nanny. Beside that am available.
